11 random things

A few weeks ago I was tagged by the lovely Rebecca in her “11 things” post and I never seemed to have the time to complete it, or maybe I procrastinated because I am really shy when it comes to sharing personal things or pictures of myself. But since today it’s my birthday, I thought it might be a nice way for folks to get to know me a little better. So here are my responses. :)

11 random things:

1. Today I just entered my last year in the twenties.

2. I don't drink coffee but I simply LOVE the smell of it.

3. My Dad's name is Vlad Tepes which is Dracula’s real name. Many times when I was introducing myself to people as Oana Tepes, they were like, “Ha! Don’t tell me your Dad’s name is Vlad!”  But no, we are not related to Dracula, it’s just pure coincidence and my Dad is the sweetest guy on earth.

4. I used to sing in a choir until I left for college.

5. I cry easily at movies.

6. I love chocolate and I would eat one or two packages every day.  I'm trying to not eat chocolate that often! :)

7. I really enjoy traveling and discovering new places.

8. I can remember telling my Mom when I was little that I really need someone to play with.  So, it wasn’t long after that before my Mom gave birth to my two sisters ;)

9. I almost drowned when I was in the first grade. To this day I am still afraid of any body of water that goes over my head.

10. We don’t own a TV and I don’t feel like I need one. 

11. I have a very good sense of smell. When I was pregnant with Sammy it got worse, or shall I say better? I could even sense the smell of water!

11 questions answered:

1.Describe your perfect day, who would be there?

It would be a day spent somewhere outdoors with family and friends. I really cherish relationships, and being around the people I love simply makes me happy. 

2. If you could do one thing that would be felt worldwide, what would it be? 

I would encourage people to help care for hurting children.

3. What is your favorite book of all time? 

Definitely the Bible. 

4. If you could keep any wild animal as a pet what would it be? 

Oh, a deer!!

5. Describe your first kiss? 

Hmm

6. If you could time travel to one era when would it be and why?

I would go visit the 40's.  I love the fashion, especially because the women were so feminine and stylish.  I also love the beautiful architecture and designs.

7. Who taught you the most cherished lesson and what was it?

I would have to say Jesus, through the Bible, taught me the most valuable lesson, to treat people the way I want them to treat me.

8. How did you meet your best friend?

We met in college, both studying design.

9. What do you photograph the most?

My little son.

10. What do you look forward every day?

Hugs, kisses, sunshine, painting.

11. If you could listen to one musician for the rest of your life who would it be?

It's really hard to say, but this past month I’ve been listening to a lot of Fran Healy/ Travis. Does that count? :)
